How to Measure and Order Custom-Cut Roller Blinds

As a factory-direct manufacturer, we cut your blinds to your exact architectural specifications. When ordering, the width you provide must be the total bracket-to-bracket unit width.

Note: To allow for the smooth operation of the chain hoist, our factory will precision-cut the actual fabric 28mm narrower than your total ordered unit width.

1. Inside Window Fit (Reveal Mount)

This method installs the blind inside your structural window frame.

• Width Math: Measure the exact window opening width at its narrowest point. Formula: Ordered Width = Measured Width - 10mm (1cm). Subtracting 10mm ensures the brackets slide cleanly into the recess without forcing.

• Drop Math: Enter the exact drop (height) exactly as measured.

2. Outside Window Fit (Wall / Face Fix)

This method installs the blind on the wall above the window. We highly recommend this for blockout blinds to eliminate the "Halo Effect" (peripheral light bleed around the edges of the fabric).

• Width Math: Measure the exact window frame width from edge to edge. Formula: Ordered Width = Measured Width + 100mm (10cm).

• Drop Math: Measure the exact window frame drop from edge to edge. Formula: Ordered Drop = Measured Drop + 100mm (10cm).

• Adding this 100mm overlay ensures the blockout fabric extends completely past the window opening, reducing light coming through the window.

Hardware Exclusion Notice

Standard wall plugs and fixing screws are not included. Because our factory ships to varying architectural structures, we require you to utilize high-quality 5mm or 6mm screws tailored specifically to your substrate (e.g., masonry expansion plugs for brickwork, toggle bolts for drywall, or heavy-duty wood screws for timber frames).

Measure twice, but order with confidence. If you mismeasure your window and your blind arrives too wide, our factory offers a Cut-Down Remanufacturing Service (R350 per blind + R300 courier handling). We will collect the blind, recut it to your revised dimensions on our precision machines, and return it directly to your door.
