50mm Aluminium Venetian Blinds | Precision Cut-to-Size
Product Overview
Upgrade your architecture with the bold, clean lines of our 50mm Aluminium Venetian Blinds. Custom-manufactured locally by Curtain Hardware & Blinds Co., this high-performance system delivers the premium aesthetic and expansive "view-through" of traditional timber blinds while leveraging the indestructible, lightweight properties of high-gauge commercial aluminium. Engineered explicitly for high-humidity areas (kitchens, bathrooms, and coastal environments), these blinds will never warp, crack, or twist under thermal stress.
Technical Specifications & Manufacturing Constraints
| Parameter | Specification / Factory Rule |
| Material Construction | Spring-tempered aluminium alloy slats with premium UV-resistant powder coating. |
| Slat Width / Profile | 50mm profile providing fewer horizontal lines and a clearer outdoor view when tilted. |
| Maximum Dimensions | 3000mm Maximum Width | 3000mm Maximum Drop. |
| Pricing Structure | Calculated on a 0.5-metre linear width increment matrix (rounded up to the nearest half-metre block). |
| Structural Integrity | Custom factory-cut to exact millimetre tolerances. Cannot be altered post-manufacturing. |
| Max Post-Punch Trim | 50mm absolute limit (due to pre-punched structural lift-cord holes). |
| Production Lead Time | 5 to 7 working days from payment confirmation to dispatch. |
Precision Measuring Architecture
Our factory cuts your blinds down to the exact millimetre provided. To guarantee an error-free installation, select your mounting type and apply the strict mathematical deductions below:
Inside Window Fit (Reveal Mount)
-
Purpose: The blind sits entirely recessed within the window frame opening.
-
Width Math: Measure the exact inside width of your window frame wall-to-wall at the top, middle, and bottom. Deduct exactly 10mm (1cm) from the narrowest measurement. This ensures the headrail and slats clear the walls cleanly without scraping.
-
Drop Math: Measure the vertical opening height. Supply this exact measurement to the factory.
-
Depth Prerequisite: Requires a minimum window recess depth of 65mm for a completely flush finish.
Outside Window Fit (Wall / Face Fix)
-
Purpose: The blind is mounted to the wall above the window frame, covering the entire opening.
-
Width Math: Measure the window opening width and add a minimum of 100mm (10cm) total (50mm overlap per side) to eliminate edge light leakage.
-
Drop Math: Measure the vertical opening height and add a minimum of 100mm (10cm) total (typically 50mm above the frame and 50mm below the sill) for complete structural coverage.
What’s Included in Your Shipment
-
1x Assembled 50mm Aluminium Blind: Integrated headrail with chosen control configuration (Left or Right tilt/lift).
-
Installation Brackets: Box brackets configurable for top-fix (inside reveal) or face-fix (outside wall).
- Excluded Items: Wall plugs and screws are not included due to varied structural surfaces (tiles, brick, drywall). We recommend standard 5-6mm masonry plugs or heavy-duty drywall anchors.
💡 Pro-Tip: Our Fit-Insurance Protocol
We understand that ordering custom-cut items can feel daunting. If you double-check your sizes and discover an error after ordering, don't panic. Because we build these from premium, solid-slat aluminum profiles, we can adjust your blind down by up to 50mm post-manufacturing for a flat alteration fee of R350 per blind plus our standard R300 collection and return delivery fee. Measure twice, but order with peace of mind knowing we support you if things go wrong.
